Joining a fraternity or sorority is a lifelong commitment. The University of Iowa cares about the success of each of our students and organizations. We staff want to ensure you have good information to help you make the best decision.

The FSL scorecard has been created to help students and families be better informed on the accomplishments and current status of each of our fraternities and sororities. The data is gathered from reporting by each chapter and council, University demographic information, and policy/conduct violations reported to each governing council or the Office of Student Accountability

    • Due to the unprecedented event of COVID-19, the IFC Executive Board has collectively decided to suspend the requirements for hosting philanthropy events, completing community service hours, and hosting educational sessions. These revisions also extend the deadline of the chapter’s current sanctions for the Spring 2020 semester. The objective of these revisions is to ensure chapters will not be penalized for the inability to complete these requirements during the time spent on campus during the Spring 2020 semester before switching to online-only instruction. Due to the nature of this situation, many chapters have either ceased or severely reduced operations for the semester. We encourage our chapters to conduct operations as they deem fit, following state and federal guidelines, throughout this time. However, because of this decision, the scorecard will not properly reflect the events that chapters would have completed for this semester, as the safety and well-being was IFC’s top priority during this time. IFC, and the 20 chapters within IFC, are prepared to come back on campus for the Fall semester of 2020 and continue normal operations while still being conscientious of any remaining University, State, or National policies that may still be in place for the community.
