There are over 40 chapters at the University of Iowa. Each chapter belongs to one of 4 governing councils.
Interfraternity Council
IFC seeks to create community among its fraternities, promoting leadership, academic excellence, and brotherhood among its members.
Multicultural Greek Council
MGC fosters a close-knit community by connecting students through shared cultural experiences within fraternities and sororities.
National Pan-Hellenic Council
The NPHC serves as the governing body for historically Black Greek-lettered organizations, known as the “Divine Nine,” fostering a legacy of cultural heritage, academic excellence, and community service.
Panhellenic Council
PHC focuses on uniting chapters to foster leadership, scholarship, friendship, and service as their Iowa founders of the past.
