Chapter Philanthropy and Community Service
Each council has their own requirement surrounding philanthropy and community service. Please see below for more information:
Panhellenic Council
Philanthropy Events
- All philanthropic events must be registered with the Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Service. Approval of the registration/proposal form will be granted or denied within 10 days after submission of the Panhellenic Philanthropy Proposal Form" on Engage. Registration applications may be denied on the following grounds: a. Incomplete information b. Two or more events planned for the same date c. Lack of adherence to any of the regulations herein. If denied, the sponsoring chapter may resubmit a registration application within 10 days after receiving notification that their registration application was denied. A philanthropic event evaluation form, proof of donation, and other documentation as determined by the Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Service in a meeting prior to the chapter’s philanthropy event must be submitted to the Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Service within 30 days after the event.
Community Service
- Chapters are expected to donate the equivalent of four hours per member, per semester, of community service to an all-Greek community service event (ex., Adopt- a-school), or to an exterior organization (ex., Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, etc.), or create a chapter service event with a minimum of 75% of chapter members in attendance.

Interfraternity Council
Philanthropy
- A philanthropic event evaluation form, proof of donation, and other documentation as determined by Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Service in a meeting prior to the chapter’s philanthropy event must be submitted to the Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Service within 30 days after the event (P-2 Form).
Community Service
- Chapters are expected to record, on average at least 4 hours of community service per member and report membership hours by the deadline set at the beginning of the semester by the Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Service.

Multicultural Greek Council
- The Form P on Engage must be completed by the given deadlines in the previous semester in order to host a philanthropy event
- Affiliate and Member Chapters are required to log two (2) hours of community service per member in their organization by the end of each semester on Engage
- Affiliate and Member Chapters must attend at least one (1) Circle of Sisterhood event per semester
