Students are facing an unprecedented amount of stress and concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On top of online schooling, many university students are facing financial struggles. They have lost their jobs, been forced to relocate, and are still required to pay rent and buy groceries for themselves and others. The UI Student Life Emergency Fund aims to combat these struggles. Many of the students impacted by the closures due to the pandemic are apart of the FSL community, which is part of the reason that I was inspired to donate to the fund on behalf of the Panhellenic Council. The Panhellenic Council donated $10,000 to the UI Student Life Emergency Fund to help the students that have been adversely affected by this pandemic. We hope that it will help to ease some of our fellow students’ stress and allow them to continue to succeed in their studies here at the University. If you or your chapter would also like to donate to the fund, here is the link: http://givetoiowa.org/students
