Panhellenic Council

History

Sorority life at Iowa began with Pi Beta Phi and Kappa Kappa Gamma in 1882. Today, the Panhellenic Council includes 15 chapters. These unique chapters carry out the same values of leadership, scholarship, friendship and service as their Iowa founders of the past.

Spring Informal Recruitment

Secondary Recruitment

Secondary Recruitment

Events for Spring Informal Recruitment will begin on Sunday, February 17th 2019. Students must be considered a full-time student (registered for at least 12 semester hours at The University of Iowa).

On Sunday, February 17th there will 2 times for a high encouraged values presentation on the University of Iowa's Fraternity and Sorority Life Community at 2:30pm and 3:00pm in the Big Ten Theater of the IMU (located on the 3rd Floor of IMU). You are high encouraged to attend either time to get a better understanding of the Informal Recruitment Process. This values based presentation helps guide potential members of our community in identifying their personal values, discussing those values with active sorority women, and making decisions that are based on their own personal values and the individual chapters values. Once attending the presentation you have the opportunity to meet all Fraternity and Sorority Life Chapters in the Second Floor Ballroom of the IMU.
